Hometown Heroes Banner Program

The North Whitehall Township Hometown Heroes Banner Program is a tribute created to honor and recognize the brave men and women of North Whitehall Township who have served or are currently serving, in the United States Armed Forces. To be eligible, the Veteran (living or deceased) must have a connection to North Whitehall Township – such as residing in the township, attending local schools, having close family, or personal ties to North Whitehall Township.

The banners measure 24"x48", made of heavy vinyl, and are printed on both sides. Each banner will feature the service member's photograph, full name, military branch, and era of service. Banners will be proudly displayed throughout the months of May through Veterans Day in November in observance of all military branch birthdays. After Veterans Day, the banners will be carefully removed, stored, and redisplayed for a second year. After the second year, the sponsor will receive their Hometown Hero Banner to keep.

To sponsor a banner, the following are required:

• Completed Hometown Hero Application Form
• A photograph of the Hero in uniform (You will NOT receive the photo back)
• Payment of $200.00 by cash or check (made out to North Whitehall Township)
